Synapse stays in the dock constantly

As shown above, Synapse remains in the dock even after I close the window. I have to use ⌘ + Q to quit it to prevent it from constantly appearing in the dock.

I recently switched from Logi Options+, so I believe it should be possible to hide the icon while running in the background.

Additionally, the icon does not align with the new design introduced in macOS 26.

I hope the developers can work out a fix for this.

macOS 26.0.1 (25A362)

Same - I think it’s weird

Yes, please just let us hide it.

Yeah. Gross. Time to return this mouse. Nobody wants to make a mouse that works without crapware these days. You can quit with command Q, but then it actually quits and none of the extra buttons work anymore. I guess I’ll just buy SteerMouse and pull the old Logitech M720 back out.

Currently trying to solve this lol. Haven’t figured out how to make it disappear from the dock yet, but I have learned that deleting the icns file from ~/Library/Razer/RazerAppEngine/Razer.app/Contents/Resources gets you a better looking icon.

It seems there has been an update that “fixed” this issue. Closing the Razer Synapse window with the red X button (upper left corner) now properly “minimizes” Synapse to the system tray.
