Although I solved the issue on my own, reading his helpful comments in response to a similar issue helped me sound out the problem for my failing keyboard. Had I not solved the issue by the time they did respond, it would have been solid assurance that I was on the right track.
I would like a live chat with support in the future if that is not already an option, but seeing the chat history in forum and thread format does help retrace my troubleshooting steps.
