I have a non touch FHD RZ09-0195.

I am considering trying to ‘upgrade’ the display to the 4k touch panel. I would be replacing the entire lid/ panel assembly.

As far as I can tell from the limited information online the display connectors seem to be the same for both versions, a 30pin connector to the motherboard. (Along with wifi and mic / camera connections)

I can’t imagine there are different motherboards for the different panel versions.

Does anyone have experience swapping between the two displays? 
Or are there any other reasons for incompatibility?

I tried it and the touch display was super dim and unevenly lit, I’m not sure if that was because of a damaged display or it being improperly driven. If you had luck I’d love to know!
