Are you using 1440p in games only or the desktop as well? I would like to know if you can run Windows desktop in 2560x1440 at 120Hz on the 4k120 model.

You can run Windows desktop on any resolution below the native 4k, whether 1440p or 1080p (latter has the benefit of being a resolution that is easy to integer scale to 4k so you don't have any artifacts from the scaling process).

The better question would be why, though?
Hi there, first time here and very happy with my new Razerblade 17 (10th Gen, RTX 2070 Mx-Q) purchase. I did update to the latest Bios due to the black screen issue when I shift to dedicated GPU only.

Now I cannot undervolt :(

Any news if undervolting will be allowed again on the latest model?

I only run games in 1440p. they look sharp enough and give the frame rate i need to play at the settings i like. The real question here is why would you do that? Yes it's supports that, but i'd never run the desktop in anything less than 4k. That's just throwing away good stuff.
There are a couple of applications I use daily that do not support scaling and are unusable at 4k on a 17" screen. I also need more real-estate than a 1080p screen.
Do not update to windows Oct release, it causes the screen to not come back after sleep or display off option in power when dedicated GPU is selected. I went back to previous windows build 2004 and works fine.

The Bios is OK but the Oct windows update has issues with Dedicated GPU mode. Disable automatic windows updates to avoid this for now.

Which version of Nvidia drivers and which version of Bios are you using?

I have the October release of Windows, and updated BIOS to 1.04 and is working perfectly, however I have to keep on using Nvidia 452.06 as newer versions end up with the black-screen issue.

I am on the latest Nvidia Driver, that seems to be the issue. But I have already went back to windows 2004 release and for now I would rather have most recent Nvidia Driver than windows update. Thank you for the feedback.
Who's already looking at their Jan/ Feb RTX 3080 max q model?

The 300hz refresh rate is nice but does anyone actually know what the response time is like and is it comparable to a desktop 144hz 1ms gtg response time experience for CSGO and valorant?

Ive used two 1 ms panel this year. 1ms is not very good actually. you get reverse halo with that. it's like halo on bright image / objects with dark backdrop.
Other OEMs are starting to open Undervolting options. When will Razer follow the suite? Even just a -50mv allowance please to further tame the fans.

Honestly, given the current situation, laptops are not as needed as they used to be, and if there weren't any stock issues, I would personally sell this laptop and build myself a nice new gaming PC with a 3080 or 6800.
I am actually considering doing this during the holidays.
