So we now have 13", 14", 15", and 17" options! And the 360Hz display is an overkill set up

I am asking - will it be any software update for 17 blade pro early 2021 version so it can use 130W for GPU as well?

now my Blade pro 2020 beast feels really left behind. Kudos for increasing the power limits! The chassis and cooling solution is more than capable to handle it (I hope the 2020 had those power limits :frown_: )

I have been trying to figure out the difference between the 17" 165Hz and 240Hz screens besides the speed. In the past, the 165Hz screens used to be brighter. That was in the past. Has anyone seen any data on both screens?

Assuming it’s using similar coating with new blade 14, it reduces quite nice the finger prints smudges compared to my older black blade laptops but it’s still there.


Sweet! Yeah I noticed the new Blade 14 2021 is not as bad with picking up Finger Prints - but god dayum it still gets nasty haha!

I was looking at the 15" Advance 3070 and 3080 and they both have 80Whr batteries. I do see what you are seeing for the Basic and the 3060 laptops. For me, the advance just for the bigger battery is already worth the extra cost.

We agree that Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model is the best choice for travel.
Built-in 80WHr rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery.

But for Streamer, Youtuber having two NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs is the most important.
Razer Blade 17 sacrifice battery life and weight for better screen.

It is always a pleasure to chat about different choices that we have according to our needs.

Was trying to figure out the same concern for the 15 model as well. Panel shortage (or maybe G-sync chips) made them switched to 165hz across all lineup...165hz likely not having G-sync from the confusing customer service...I would guess it comes from the same supplier for the 14/17 in models.

If anyone had experience on the 165hz panels early this year, that would be helpful for us

Can anyone answer why this mid version 17 the 3080 card is now only 8gig vram unless you get the 4K version (which is 16gig)… before the 1080p had it.. and also no 3080 with qhd? Wtf is going on razer

I also wonder how close the Blade 15 3080 105W is to the Blade 17 3070 130W. With the better thermals of Blade 17, I am guessing that they might be close.

No apologies necessary. The Razer web page is a total mess and the specs they list are very incomplete. I am very ready to replace my aging 2017 Razer Blade Pro and have been looking for a new laptop. If I just needed a work / play laptop, the Razer 14 with a 3080 would be an easy choice. I cannot believe how much power and battery life they put into that laptop. I really like my laptops to have easy docking and Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 is a must have for me. So I am looking at the Blade 15 and 17 right now. I am thinking that I will wait for the Blade 17 to start shipping on Aug 11 and see how the reviews come out.

If anyone from Razer is reading this, please enter the CPU and GPU watts into the Blade 17" web page. I only discovered that the new 11th gen 17" laptop support 130W GPU from a Razer store video. I would have bought the cheaper 15" if I did not discover this by accident.
