Razer Blade 14 (2021) - Touchpad is not working | Razer Insider

Hi Razer community,

I own a Razer Blade 14 (2021) and the touchpad just stopped working. I have had this issue before, but then I could just uninstall the “l2c hid device” in the device manager and it worked when I was searching for changed hardware. However, this does not work anymore… I also installed the most recent windows updates (Windows 11) as well as the most recent chipset driver, but it did not work and now I am out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Hey, I ran into this today, and all the tutorials or instructions were unhelpful, I did the uninstall and reinstall on device manager too. I was snooping around, and then when I was gonna give up, I was like dang, the restarting isn’t working, so I went into BIOS, there’s a “Fast Boot” option that apparently works by putting IO devices in hibernation instead of powering off and starting them up again by saving their state in a file or something. So I disabled that, did a normal restart, and it seems like it’s been back to working for me.

So:

  1. Went to BIOS(by pressing ‘f1’ on startup during the Razer logo)
  2. Navigate to the ‘Boot’ section
  3. Change “Fast Boot” to ‘Disabled’, then ‘save and restart’
  4. sign in to your windows
  5. uninstall then reinstall the “HID-compliant touch pad” in the device manager.
  6. Do a restart again

Let me know if this works for you, It did  for me YMMV
