Update BIOS Blade 15" Base 2020

I'm trying to update my system bios from 1.04 to 1.06 but when I run the Razer Updater, it will only run for a second before restarting my system and keeps the bios on 1.04.

I'm having the same issue with BIOS Ver 1.03

Having the same issue on my Razer Blade 15" 2020 (RZ09-0328). I'm currently running Razer BIOS v1.04, and when I use the v1.06 download link for RZ09-0328x models, it "completes" the update very quickly (in a few seconds) then restarts the laptop, but BIOS v1.04 is still installed on my laptop when it turns back on.

Razer says that BIOS v1.06 "Fixes system hang during reboot after setting "Core Isolation > Memory Integrity" to "ON". I'm frustrated that my Razer BIOS will not successfully update to v1.06 and it's blocking me from turning on memory integrity in the Windows Security Core Isolation settings. I'd like to enable this security feature, but I can't enable it until my BIOS is up-to-date... really hope Razer can address this security issue.

Same issue here, I cannot turn on memory integrity because my bios version 1.0.4 is bugged and version 1.0.6 fixes the bug ( rebooting after turning on memory integrity get stuck), and i cannot update my bios because it need memory integrity turned on.

should I reinstall windows from scratch?

did you find a solution, i am unable to update my bios (razerblade 15 2019 adv 031x)
from 1.3 to 1.4

I had to factory reset the pc and the core isolation setting was finally on , then i had to update multiple times evrything and finally installed the latest bios succesfully

Solved. Make sure memory core is disabled and Microsoft driver blocklist is disabled.

I am also having this issue. I’ve tried all the steps listed in this thread and nothing has worked. I’m stuck on v1.0.4. Has anyone solved this?

Thanks everyone for the help here. Even with the info it took me an hour to figure out. This is how I did it:

 

• Disable secure boot: restart the laptop and rapidly tap F1 whilst booting up. Opens the BIOS update. Within there, you can go to startup (use left/right arrow keys to switch tabs) and enter Secure Boot which is one of the options in there. Default was enabled for me, so I disabled. Pressed F4 to save and restart.
• Use Windows Security to turn off settings: in Windows Security app, go to ‘Device Settings’ and ‘Core Isolation Details’. Turn off both ‘Memory Integrity’ and ‘Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist’.
• The downloaded update app does not work! You must update from the default Razer updater.
• Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Update Tool  and in there you’ll find an app called ‘Razer Updater’. Note: the computer thinks it’s the same as the BIOS updater you may have downloaded from Razer’s website, so make sure that’s been exited out of or the updater won’t restart.
• Run the Razer Updater app and it’ll look identical to the BIOS updater downloaded from Razer. However, when you update from here it should actually work.

Absolutely ridiculous that it’s so hard to update such an expensive laptop.
