This seems a smidge excessive. The first screenshot is right after installing the app, before restarting. The second is after restart, where all the processes are hidden under a single heading. And does Synapse seriously need nearly 1GB to work?

I have a Basilisk V3 Pro and Deathstalker V2 Pro TKL plugged in right now (I also have a Kiyo Pro, but not plugged in ATM). I’m also on Windows 11, with everything up to date as of 10/24.

Yeah im having the same issue, it spikes to 100% constantly. I found it help if both chroma and synapse programs are not running. Otherwise maybe you could change priority of application to lower cpu usage https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-limit-cpu-usage-program/

Yes. Razer, please address this pronto! You sell performance gaming PCs, so you can’t have your own software be affecting performace so much. Please make this MUCH more effecient.

Having the same issue after installing the beta, restarting wont help also. So far doesnt look like lighter software than Synapse 3

Is this the new multi-threaded architecture in action? 😬

It seems it has 32 processes for 32 threads 🤣

I had the same issue on one PC (Win 11 based) - almost 1.4GB ram eaten by RazerAppEngine xD

I’m monitoring this on my laptop (Win 10 Pro based), but it’s OK (at least for now).

I'm not going to lie, I have been hesitant for 5 years to switch back to Razer products because of the amount of background processes running. I finally did and Synapse 3 is as bad as I remembered it. The beta seems worse. I have the Blackwidow V4 Pro, Deathadder V3 wired, headset holder and mousepad. I will plug all my Corsair stuff back in if this gets released and it's this bad. I have icue down to TWO processes and have 7 RGB fans, RGB AIO, K100, RGB memory, mousepad and headset holder. How is razers software this bloated? Asus is the worst offender but Razer is in second.

Ditto on this. The New Synapse is using approx. 400MB of memory when idle. I’m not too fussy on multiple processes (though that isn’t necessarily the best way to implement multi-threading - to those speculating, they aren’t the same thing) if there’s an actual benefit (see Edge browser) but there are definately too many processes spawned.

There is the right way and the Razer way. 😉
