Razer Kraken 7.1 - Sound suddenly goes crazy

Hello dear all, I've had this Razer Kraken 7.1 for years, and it's in perfect condiction so far. I've only had to change earcuffs once in over 6 years. However, over the past few months I've been experiencing this incredibly disturbing problem which causes the sound/volume to go crazily loud and whatever is being played on it is mixed up with a buzzying sound. It almost hurts my ears, and it vanishes in two forms: either by itself as suddenly as it appeared, or if I mute/close the application and start again. It has happened while using Discord, Skype, Teams mainly. Has it ever happened to anyone, and how did you fix it?
