Razer Synapse Won't Detect Games, Manually Adding Fails
Been using Razer Synapse for some time now on my PC, it worked fine at first but now it won't work at all, I've tried all the classic things like rebooting, signing out and back in, deleting the Game Manager folder in ProgramData, but so far I have no solution and this is a fairly critical function for me.
Basically if I go into Synapse to add a game it doesn't detect any games, and if I go to manually add one File Explorer opens as it should but then when I open an exe file Synapse freezes for about 1 minute and then nothing happens. Same situation if I add one of the suggested apps in the manually add screen.
Anyone have any idea of the root cause of this? Seems a lot of people online have had issues with it before but the solutions are always random, someone installed Apex Legends and it worked, someone deleted the Game Manager folder and it worked, someone re-installed Synapse and it worked, etc....
Pretty annoying though if I'm being honest, moved to all Razer hardware a while back mostly because of how much better their software is than Logitechs (and the Naga Pro being insanely good) so it's a shame that the software is the thing not working right. Least it doesn't crash all the time like Logitech's does though so I can still manually swap profiles.

CytophGood to know it's not just me seeing this. Hmmmm what motherboard do you have? Mine is a gigabyte. Only thing we really share is the CPU architecture (even then Zen 3 is quite a bit updated) so I'm wondering if it's maybe a chipset issue with Ryzen motherboards.

I tried to analyze the logs a little bit and what seems to be the problem is that the games list and the adding of a game to a profile is always being got/sent from/to the Razer servers and those return a HTTP status code 500 with "internal server error". So it seems that there are problems on there server side which directly affects us due to Synapse not being able to synchronize our 'adding games to a profile'.
CytophHmmmm this is a really good thought. If I have time later tonight I will do some packet capturing among other things to see if I can figure out a solution. You know, come to think of it, I recall Synapse working when my laptop was on another network but not my home network, and at home I have a ton of DNS sinkholing and GEO IP blocking going on. I bet that is the issue. I will post back my findings later to see if there is a specific domain or IP that needs to be contacted. As for the 500 error I'll also test for that and see if I'm getting the same issue. I suppose it's possible they have several domains/IPs with different servers hosting Synapse stuff and if that is the case maybe my issue is the blocking of those and yours is a specific server that isn't working right. Either way, once I do more testing, that'll confirm if this is indeed an issue with not being able to contact servers.

What IP or domain name did you find the 500 internal server error on? I've been trying to do some packet analysis but so far haven't seen anything being blocked by my firewall that would prevent me from connecting.
I didn't analyze the packages but the logs found in the ProgramData and AppData folders of Razer Synapse.
I'm seeing the same thing in mine now, wish it gave an ip address or domain name as to what it was trying to connect to. Either that or it's some internal firewall issue and it's not even getting past that.
Okay, of course it has to be "have you tried turning it off and on again". Not exactly that simple but completely uninstalling Razer products like described here and re-installing them fixed the problem for me.
CytophI was going to give this a shot but I noticed that I can totally add profiles when I'm on another network and not my home network, so it's a networking issue. The thing is Razer Synapse makes it hard to tell what domains and IP addresses it needs to contact so I'm having trouble figure out what to let through my firewall to make this work again at home.
