Hi guys. I was looking at the new Blade 16 and before I buy, I was wondering if the USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port would work with specifically the valve index with a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter / if the port was connected to the GPU (?? I think that’s what I’m looking for! Please correct me if wrong lol) I’ve been trying to search all over but I have no answers yet.

The specific model I was looking at was:

Intel Core i9-14900HX

Windows 11 Home

16" QHD+ 240Hz OLED

GeForce RTX 4090

32GB 5600MHz RAM, 2TB SSD

If this DOESN’T work, is there a different model of Blade that would? Preferably one with a 40-series in it. tyvm

I found what I was looking for finally! According to Razer Support Specifications, the Thunderbolt port is

“1 x Thunderbolt 4™ (Type-C) with Power Delivery and Display Port 1.4 with Nvidia GPU output”. Theoretically it should work fine with the Valve Index with a proper adapter and settings combo.

The other USB-C also says it supports Display Port, but not which version.

It seems I’m going to be going after this model after all! :) It’s not a dealbreaker for me either way, and honestly now I’m committed to trying it out once I get the laptop.
