Hi, I am looking into getting a Razer Blade 15 Base Model and am wanting to use the open expansion slot to upgrade the storage. Would an M.2 2280 SSD be compatible? I'm not too familiar with M.2 drives so I don't know if there are different types or if they should all work? This is the drive I am looking at: https://www.amazon.co.uk/WD-Blue-NAND-Internal-SATA/dp/B073SBW3VD/ref=sr_1_3?adgrpid=76017740600&dchild=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAqo3-BRDoARIsAE5vnaI8JUTsoxMF2Wf-daEGbA92aaouxNqG55mkYxZrp9_wY5Vm76HyFy4aAgy4EALw_wcB&hvadid=359470763751&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1007017&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=7975260580899700750&hvtargid=kwd-300907759405&hydadcr=23921_1814618&keywords=m2%2Bssd%2B2tb&qid=1606682492&sr=8-3&tag=googhydr-21&th=1 Thanks!

There is a change that they would not be compatible, since Razer Blade 15 seems to be using the NVMe interface for M2 SSDs, and the one you want to purchase uses a SATA interface. NVMe SSDs are usually more expensive than SATA, but have much higher speeds.

What laptop model do you have exactly (p/n) or the year of the laptop, because there are MANY editions of blade 15 base :) It should work, but not always... so we need exact laptop model. But as @El_Chameleon said - I'd go with NVMe SSD - it will be more expensive, but it will be A LOT faster.
