How do I get worthless Basilisk mouse to scroll in Windows 10 start menu

Why are people so stupid. Windows 10. I click the start button and the menu pops up. But my Basilisk mouse will not scroll in it. To get to scroll, I have to have to click the mouse wheel. of course when I do that, it clicks. Worst purchase I ever made. Of course that Synapse app gives me no useful options for it.

    Can you still use the scroll on browsers, or it only happens at the start menu? For now, let's reinstall your mouse driver by following the steps on this page.
