Do I need to get razer core x

With lowest rtx2060 on Blade 15 you can play most your games on high setting, want good FPS100~ on 1080p I’d go with 2080maxq. If you’re looking at 1440p or 4K then maybe Core X with high end gpu 2080~ worth to consider, only to note, due TB3 bandwidth and laptops with dgpu TB3 data connection, core setting (TB3 egpu setting) isn’t for high FPS performance, performance gap to desktop is smaller on high resolution. But for multi monitor setting it’s great since you can use all ports on your desktop gpu, and in term of overall thermal since dgpu inside Blade would be off and make more cooling room inside, you’ll see big cpu thermal improvement. About longevity, I never had Blade more than 2 years, always sell it for upgrade, but with good temperature monitoring and tweaking like cpu undervolting etc, Blades 15 that I get from first batch here still works great, almost a year. I’d say it’ll hold like my old Blade 14 fine in 2 years gaming usage, longer time will tell. There’re some users who share hardware issues maybe they push too far their Blade like using gaming mode without monitor the temperature, not given good intake open areas while playing games that produce a lot heat which may effect other parts inside, keep in mind this is thin in light categories, MacBook than can play games like big gaming laptops, so thermal management is important imo.

I read a review about a web developer complaining about CPU thermal throttling while he was rendering his web design on adobe. I'm in the same shoe I own a Courier Logistics company and I was developing the website. Now I'm insecure if to upgrade to razer laptop or stick to a desktop. Please give me some suggestions.

Any Blade Pro 2017 won’t have thermal throttle issues, it has better cooling than any Blade that’s ever made plus Razer does something with the bios for avoiding thermal throttle, can you link me that web review? I don’t have Blade Pro but I’m seeing its thread in several forums, almost impossible it has that issue, unless he’s doing something wrong.
