Crackling noise on brand new Kraken Ultimate headphones when THX is turned on.

I just got a pair of Razer Kraken Ultimate headphones and they have been great! but when i went to try the THX surround sound i started hearing crackling noises from programs that had the Surround on. The amount the crackling happens increases with the amount of programs with THX on. I've tried looking online for people having the same problem but i have found none.
