Problems with Razer Surround after latest Windows 10 update

Hey everyone, maybe someone here can help me. Since the last Windows 10 update Razer Surround is pretty much broken. whenever I turn surround on I get crazy crackling noises. like broken speakers. doesnt matter if I use a headset or not. it is basically unusable. I updated all drivers etc but cant seem to get it fixed. but switching back to no surround instantly fixes it. I am a fan of the surround though and would like to have it back :) any help appreciated

I am having the same exact issue. I tried updating all drivers but nothing seems to work. Have you been able to solve this issue Milkgreatbay841?

sadly not yet. I also tried switching audio drivers but that did nothing. would be nice if there is any fix. sure, I can just use something like windows sonic but I like the quality of razer surround more.

are we allowed to "up" our threads here? would really love to find a solution to this problem

I'm not sure. I've been looking into solutions myself but found nothing. I am using the first Razer Synapse which has the "Razer Surround Pro" for the surround enhancement. My only guess is that Razer is no longer supporting this version of Synapse or they did not update their drivers with the latest windows update.

yeah, you're probably right. shame, cause the quality was really great

Hey everyone! Thanks for posting your Razer Surround Sound behavior here. The Support Team advised that the previous version a previous version of Windows 10, but not the 2004 version. I don't have an ETA if there will be an upcoming fix for this issue. I suggest submitting a case so our Support Team can track all the affected users. Feel free to send me a PM should you need additional assistance.
