Macroing two keys at the same time

Hi there! I'm very new to this, so I apologize is this is basic stuff, but the stuff I found when googling it didn't really fix my issue, so I'm hoping maybe someone can help me. I have a Razer Tartus I got recently. It's been a good 6 years since I last played with anything like this, so I'm very rusty on the setup. What I'm basically wanting is for when I press the left directional pad on the side, it presses A and W at the same time and holds it there until I lift up from pressing it. In the game I'm playing, this will cause the character to turn, but still be running forward while turning. I've tried doing things by using the control stick options, but it just makes the character turn around rather than turn while also running. I hope that makes sense. I tried doing a macro of the two of them being pressed and then having it set to "Play when assigned key is pressed", but once that key is pressed, it doesn't want to stop. I don't want to use toggle because I'd rather not press it a second time to get it to stop. I just want it to simply stop when I release that directional button. I hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
