Razer Kraken Headphones picking up played audio

I was told recently that my headphones have been echoing quite a lot. After some testing, I discovered that the mic was picking up any audio played on the same device and apparently it was so bad they had to mute me. I've tried configuring things according to youtube videos and even changed the included 3.5mm female to 3.5mm input & output male splitter from the front mic/headphone ports to the motherboard. And while this did help a bit, any audio played by the headphones still gets picked up by the microphone. Any help with fixing this?

Me pasa parecido, al estar normal no se escucha mas que mi voz, sin embargo, al accionar la palanca del cable que hace que me mutee, a mi no se me escucha, pero lo que está escuchándose por mis auriculares rebota en el micro y se escucha, cuando debiera estar muteado...

Please perform the steps from this article and see how it goes. Try connecting the headset to another device or computer and see if the same issue happens.
