Keyboard connect USB port 2.0 or 3.0

I connected the Huntsman V2 linear to a USB 2.0 port. I heard from someone that the best performance is achieved when connected to a USB 3.0 port, but I know that the input device is based on a USB 2.0 port, so I don't think that connecting to a USB 2.0 port will degrade performance. If Razer is not instructed to use the USB 3.0 port, I understand that it is okay to connect to the USB 2.0 port, so please give me your opinion.

    If everything works correctly - leave it in USB 2.0 Huntsman V2 requires 500mA power, which is max of the USB 2.0 port.

    Thank you for your opinion. In fact, I contacted RAZER Support before posting the thread on the forum. And RAZER answered that Huntsman V2 requires USB.3.0 port. I'm confused because RAZER didn't mention why I should do so, but I connected it to port 3.0 as instructed. Once again, thank you for your opinion!

    Probably because USB 3.0 have more power than 2.0, so it'll be work with some power reserve, rather than maxed out. I also recommend to plug it to at least USB 3.0, so there will be no problems with this peripherals.

    If I connect to a USB 2.0 port, will there be any performance problems such as loss of polling rate or response speed?

    In case of polling rate - no. But it heavily depends on the USB controller on your motherboard (or CPU for eg. in AMD Ryzen).

    Add: I didn't understand it a little, so I inquired again after looking at the manual on the RAZER official site, and RAZER said that he made a mistake in giving an answer to 'Huntsman V2 Analog'. :rolleyes: RAZER says Huntsman V2 can be connected to a USB 2.0 port. I think the question is really solved now.
