I’ve had my laptop for 3 years and 5 months. The hdmi port has always functioned as expected, but stopped functioning yesterday. I’ve tried everything and nothing works. Updated synapse, firmware, windows, geforce drivers. Tried several cables. Tested different monitors. Verified the monitors work with different computers / systems. Nothing seems to work. Also have tried restarting the computer many times, including after all said updates.
To clarify, the issue is that I plug in the hdmi cable (connected to another monitor) into the laptop and the laptop is completely unaware that another monitor is plugged in. Looking at display settings on Windows I see no other monitor options. Pressing “detect” under “multiple displays” causes no other monitors to show up (It says “didn’t detect another display”).
