Brand new Wolverine V3 PRO won't charge

I just received my Wolverine V3 PRO - so I used the original cable and connected it to my Xbox Series X to charge it. But once plugged in it will NOT show any sign of charging (if I read it correctly in the manual, the RAZER logo is supposed to give some kind of indication).

I can turn on the controller - its currently charged on MEDIUM.

Another thing is that the Xbox Razer App will NOT connect to the controller it is stuck in the “Connection” progress screen. No matter if using the original cable or the wireless adapter.

The Controller IS connected to the adapter as I can navigate my Xbox using the controller.

But the first and biggest problem is that it does not seem to charge.

I have also tried a different cable, a different power supply - no change in behavior.

HELP! Please.

I fixed it 😇

Things I had to do:

  • Used a Windows PC to update the Firmware of the Controller
  • Uninstalled the Razer Controller Setup App from my Xbox Series X
  • Restarted the Xbox Series X and reinstalled the Razer Controller App
  • This time I was able to actually get the controller app to connect so I setup a profile and saved it immediatly

It also charges, but the lighting only shows up when I plug in a cable for a brief moment then it goes dark. This seems to be normal behavior from what I have read. I was thinking  the light was supposed to show the charging status at all times when I charge the controller.
