Razer Blackwidow Elite - A and Q buttons not working

My Razer Blackwidow Elite - A and Q keys are not working at all. The A and Q keys light up, they just don’t work when pressed. The keyboard is out of warranty so can’t claim. I wanted to find out if anyone has experienced something similar and if they managed to find a solution?

 

Additionally, some keys on the numpad have a different RGB colour that I cannot change through the Synapse software. Stuck on the colour purple while every other key changes. The keys having an issue on the numpad are specifically: 0, 4, 5, 6, “enter” and “.”

The keys above work and function perfectly well. It’s only the RGB that is the issue.

 

I have tried uninstalling drivers and re-installing them. Didn’t help

Any advice/help fixing the issue would be greatly appreciated.
(FYI, I’m typing this using copy + paste “a” everytime)

I understand you’re having issues with your Razer BlackWidow Elite where the A and Q keys are not responding, along with RGB issues on the numpad. To resolve the issue, please try the following steps:

  1. Clean your keyboard from dirt or debris.

  2. Connect your keyboard directly to the PC and not a USB hub.

  3. Test your keyboard with a different USB Port.

  4. Get the latest Windows update.

  5. Update the firmware of your keyboard if it is on the list.

  6. Check if a software is causing the issue by closing all Razer apps and other keyboard configuration software.

  7. If closing Razer Synapse fixed the issue, reinstall your keyboard drivers, and perform a clean reinstall of Razer Synapse.

  8. Check if the issue persists with a different PC.
