Razer Blade Stealth HDMI/Video Card

Hello there This question goes to anyone who can explain why there is no video card in the blade stealth? The backstory is that I got a blade stealth i7- 8550 with x core 980ti. All working fine and lovely. Only till I went home for Christmas and plugged my blade into my tv for the first time, that I found out that it couldn't handle playing a simple video. After contacting Razer support, they explained that the blade stealth as good as it is requires the eGPU as it does not have a video card. Shocked by this news I wanted to ask if one this is true. That a simple video is unable to be played on tv with this current laptop. Second that there is no way to fix this. And third is this could be down to the HDMI or other problem. Any help or advice would be great and at this point as much as I love the blade stealth. If it cant play a simple movie through HDMI. Was it worth the money I payed

@alex747380 Playing movies and the like should not be a problem even when you play them on an external monitor. Can you put up a video detailing the issue so I can see the severity of your situation? Can you also PM me the case number you were given so I can review what transpired during your interaction with our Support Team? P.S. moving this to the support boards for visibility.

There’s some work around in some case connecting laptops to tv, sometimes it’s not same with desktop monitor like changing channel to AV etc. Try look at this, maybe there’s a solution that can help you there.
