Nari keeps going quiet

I've had these headphones for a few months, and sometimes when I'm listening to music or most annoyingly when I'm talking to someone, the volume in the headset starts dropping and cuts off. Usually this only happens during either a moment of silence or if a song gets quieter. But sometimes it just happens completely at random. The volume will immediately come back on if I do something that should make a noise (switching a song, clicking in a volume mixer to make a ping noise, stuff like that). It's really annoying, especially when I've walked away from the computer. I can't find any setting to stop this and everything is up to date.
