Razer Chroma ARGB Controller Question

Just finalizing a PC build, and I'll be using ARCTIC ARGB fans for all my cooling. As these are one of the 'true' daisy chainable fans, if I want true sequential lighting effects, would I set up each series of fans as an LED strip (rather than a fan) with the total number of LEDs (ie, 4 12 LED fans would be a 48 LED strip https://vlc.onl)? I would make sure each port had less than 80 LEDs total, I just have a total of 10 fans I want to make sure will worth through synapse for the 'ripple' and similar effects that 'move' between devices so I want to make sure I'm on the right track.
