Ornata Chroma Keyboard and Synapse - Lighting Effects Being a Brat

I recently got the Ornata Chroma and was super excited for all of the lighting effects, but for some reason when I try to do anything with it, the keyboard just continually keeps resetting itself. It has some good days and doesn't act up too much, but recently it's been non-stop. It used to only act up for more complicated lighting effects but now it can't even handle the simple ones. The only way to make it stop is to get out of Synapse completely and then it stops resetting. I have a completely new PC and my Windows 10 is completely up to date, as is Synapse. I've had the keyboard around a week. I'm looking for some advice. Is this a software issue? Is the keyboard faulty and should I send it back for a new one? I spent $80 on it, so I am pretty annoyed and want to make sure it is working as intended. This is my first Razer product too. LOL. I love what it can do when it works, but when it is acting up, it is a total bummer. Anyway, thank you for any help you can offer!
