Razer Kraken TE Issues

I had just purchased a Razer Kraken TE and don't understand why I cant get the THX to work properly. I have uninstalled everything multiple times. I have selected the speaker in the sound settings tab. I have updated my computer to the latest windows update and updated Razer Synapse. I can get regular sound out of the headphones if I select headset earphone on the sound manager. In doing so, the THX module has little to no effect on the sound. I can turn the sound up and down, but clicking the button on and off for THX does nothing. Now, In the Synapse, I click on Mixer for the THX module and click set as default as recommended and lose all sound. I click back to the sound manager for windows and notice that it is pulling speaker inputs for the headphone jacks in the back of the computer. What do I need to do to get this to work properly? I dont want to have to return the headphones as I feel they will be amazing if I can get the damn things to work.
