Everyone is acting like intel is completely unusable now that the new Amd chips are hitting the market. They are good for sure, but they are also having issues with bottlenecking in some configurations. That’s not to say they aren’t good and that I don’t want to see them in the new blades, but everyone is acting like they are godly. What was everyone doing before? I’m sure the intel chips will hold up just fine and can handle what you throw at it. Remember what was the de facto standard (cough 8700k ) just a few months - a year ago? I feel Razer might be waiting to see how the market does with these chips. They are still pretty new to the mobile space and they probably had the new configurations built before AMD released the chips. In due time, we’ll probably get an Amd machine from Razer, it’s just going to take a little more time. There’s a lot of logistics they have to go through before changing platforms completely.

The new Stealth 13 models are coming at the end of the year. Maybe we can expect the first AMD chips here.

As far as I know, Intel and Amd have always leap frogged eachother. I was very impressed with AMDS igpu that beat intel but iris plus igpu are now just as good if not better. There is room for both amd and intel.

Thanks, iGPU performance on AMD is excellent however this is not the combination I would like to see. I am not interested in iGPU, I am interested in the Renoir paired with RTX 2070 or better, good single core performance, good multi core performance and great thermal performance. Currently AMD is the only CPU that ticks all these boxes. Yes CPU's leap frog each other thats why manufacturers should be open to shipping the best options when available. I think the reason we don't see options from Razer is the perception that people will only buy Intel in high end laptops, which is not true, and that gamers will only focus on single core performance, which is also not true. What is the point of single core theoretical speed when actual speed is lower anyway? For multimedia tasks there is no comparison with Intel, AMD kills it. Given how far Intel is behind TSMC in regards to making EUV work at yield there will be a while yet before you see Intel options compete strongly. This will become much more noticeable in the coming months.

What is going on? Intel's at least 2 years away from competing with these CPU's and their next generation. Biggest issue is thermal and AMD has this under control with 7nm. Why are there no flagship laptops like Razer with this CPU? There is no point having an Intel CPU with theoretical single core advantage when in practice it will throttle and cannot sustain the performance to match the AMD. I want my cake and to eat it too, Razer needs to step up and bring us a flagship AMD gaming.

Unfortunately you won’t see any time soon flagship gaming laptops powered with amd. This’s according Frank Azor from AMD. So Intel will keep dominate 2020 high end.
