Sound Wheel Causing Issues.

I purchased a Razer Kraken Tournament Edition from Amazon back in September. About a month ago, the equilibrium of the headset started going fuzzy, and there was nothing that Razer Synapse could fix. I discovered soon after that if I fiddled with the little knob that contains the sound wheel and the mute switch, that would fix it, and I didn't think anything of it. However now the sound keeps cutting in and out very quickly at unusual intervals. I was wondering if I have a defective product, or if there's something that I can do to fix this. I've tried googling symptoms of the problem, but haven't found anything that fits. This headset is starting to drive me crazy.
