Ok. Nun setzt meins auch bei Netflix aus. Synapse beendet dann auch alles. Keine Chroma Tastatur, und das Headset wird nicht mehr erkannt. Ich muss das komplette Notebook neu starten. Macht echt kein Spass mehr.

Ok. Now mine is also on Netflix. Synapse then ends everything. No Chroma keyboard, and the headset is no longer recognized. I need to restart the entire notebook. Really no more fun.

So whats new, just the AMP soundcard?

nah the headset itself is worse than the kraken 7.1 V2, i bought it yesterday and i cant wear it with my glasses on for more than 5 minuites, the sound is also considerably worse even with thx enabled and after playing around with the EQ for half an hour

I wear quite thick glasses and after a while of getting use to the new headset, this Kraken TE feels really good. Try to adjust the headset, it may take some time until you find best setting for the "collar" going over your head.

Latest software update killed the THX channel, have restarted the USB module and various other things but the channel doesn't work.


Go to the Synapse -> Razer USB Audio Controller -> Mixer (Where all the "apps" are like Chrome, VLC Player, some of your games etc) -> scroll down a bit and press the "set default" -button.

This cured the problem I was having:

-My problem was that when I chose "THX Spatial - Synapse" from the Sound Settings in Windows 10 there was no sound, no in Youtube, not in games etc. Sounds were only working when I chose "Razer Audio Controller - Game" but then the THX Surround feature was disabled. It was quite huge difference in FPS games like Battlefield etc.

After I found this fix from Google, THX Spatial Synapse -setting began to work immediately!!

jea idk it better today, but the sound is just clearly worse than the kraken 7.1 v2 even after playing with the EQ and every avilaible setting for hours, which i didnt have to do with the 7.1 v2 which sounded amazing out fo the box and only got better when working with synapse 2.0 EQ, synapse 3.0 really feels worse to use for me.


Cant comment about the sound as I use mine only for casual FPS gaming like Battlefield and stuff. I'm not a HiFi guy what comes to the quality of the sound, I'm only interested about the "situational awareness" (foot steps etc.) in these FPS games.

But yeah, after like 2 weeks of ownership now I can use this Kraken TE for hours in my head without any issues with my eyeglasses.

jea i dont dabble in shooters anymore, i mostly play games with a nice atmosphere and soundtrack/ listen to music, so im really sceptical if i shouldnt return it atm....

and i fixed it XD, literally just used the 3.5mm jack plugged it into my PC and used synapse 2 Surround pro, and now it sounds like the kraken 7.1 v2 or even better, seems like the dingle worsens the audio, or synapse 3 just has worse audio enhancement software

Hey guys, yesterday i bought my first Razer product, a Kraken Tournament Edition headset. After looking trough some reviews qith mixed opinions i went for it. I wanted it mostly for my PC where i SimRace. Coming from a PS4 GOLD headset, i was shocked how dull and muddy the audio quality is with the Kraken. The THX option even makes the things worse.
Somehow the drivers cannot reproduce some parts of the range, and the result is - a heavy bass (when pushed higher), muddy middles and detached highs. The EQ does not help a lot. Trying the headset with Assetto Corsa Competitione was a bad experience, where the audio is very dull and it;s like you have a cloth covering the speakers. THX was disastrous in this game, made the things even worse.

The headset itself is great, i like how it fit's me, i like the built quality, but sound quality is really low for that price tag. Is there a way i can enhance it ? I really want to find a good balance and keep the headset.

Did you try to contact Razer support, your headset may have some issues, they could change it or help you fix this.
My bad for english mistakes but i try my best.

Habe folgendes Problem. Wenn ich mein Kraken mit dem THX Adapter anschließe, an meinem Blade habe ich keine Soundprobleme. Schliesse ich es aber über Klinke an, habe ich so einen Misch Masch Sound. Der Ton wird sporadisch lauter oder leiser. Einige Töne werden einfach ausgeblendet und einige Hintergrund Geräusche hervor gehoben.
Was habe ich gemacht? Dolby ausgeschaltet und auch deinstalliert. Dann habe ich zwar nicht das Problem aber dafür klingt der Ton aus dem Lautsprecher des Blade grauenvoll.
Also habe ich den Raumklang deaktiviert und auch diesen Windows Sonic System deaktiviert aber da ändert sich nichts. In Synapse habe ich keine Änderungsoptionen gefunden.
Jemand einen Tipp wie ich normalen Sound aus den Kraken Tournament bekomme, wenn ich diese via Klinke anschliesse?

Have the following problem. When I connect my kraken with the THX adapter, I don't have any sound problems with my blade. But if I connect it via jack, I have such a mix-mash sound. The sound becomes sporadic louder or quieter. Some sounds are simply hidden and some background sounds are highlighted.
What did I do? Dolby turned off and also uninstalled. Then I don't have the problem but the sound from the blade's loudspeaker sounds horrible.
So I deactivated the room sound and also deactivated this Windows Sonic System, but nothing changes. I didn't find any change options in Synapse.
Someone get a tip like I get normal sound from the Kraken Tournament when I connect it via jack?
