Could a variant of the Razer Stream Controller satisfy as a modern Deathstalker Ultimate replacement?

There have been a few threads where people are trying to keep their 2012 Razer Deathstalker Ultimate keyboards alive in 2023 (the one with the programmable LCD Stream Controller style keys and LCD touch screen). Also a few where people have asked if there will be a Deathstalker V2 Ultimate.

I was wondering, for the limited demographic looking for a current gen equivalent, would a Stream Controller variation with the following features satisfy the ask:

  • standalone wired (or wireless for the full wish list) USB C peripheral designed to match the style and dimensions of the Deathstalker V2 series keyboards (similar shape, design elements, height, etc.)
  • 8-10 programmable LCD buttons
  • small 16:9 or 16:10 touchscreen (which could be treated as an external touch screen in the OS) in addition to the LCD buttons.

With the touchscreen capable of behaving as a standalone external monitor any apps that could create addons outputting to an external monitor should be able to be docked / maximized to that display. By making it external you could use it with the tenkeyless version (and have numeric keypad touchscreen apps on it if you needed an emergency keypad) or the pro version (and still have an actual numeric keypad) and not have to tool for a whole new keyboard while leaving it available to others that like their current keyboard. Also, the external touch display operation could reduce / remove the need for a dedicated SDK (like the original Deathstalker Ultimate).

I could photoshop what I’m thinking, but I didn’t want to tread too close to IP issues, so I’m just describing the idea.

If you’re still using a Deathstalker Ultimate or have wondered if a Deathstalker v2 Ultimate might ever happen, what are your thoughts?
