Hello! I'm posting from my brand new Blade Stealth and l was wondering;

How much does the constant keyboard backlighting affect battery life?

Does "static" draw more than cyclig colors?

Is there an easy way to disable and enable backlighting?

If you want to know how huge it's the diffrence just one day use nootebook with chroma and another without then comapre the results. From softwere you have many ways to save battery not only shout down keybord light 😛

I found out how to turn it off. Only a few minutes? I woud have thought it would be more power hungry. It's not worth turning off then, in your opinion?


It depends on the usage. I have a dell laptop with backlight option, and I'm turning it off at day, and turning on at night.

Yes, you can turn off the backlight.



I don't think that it would be noticeable when it comes to battery life on static light vs cycling colors.

Backlight vs no backlight - probably few minutes difference on battery.
