Nintendo is my all-time favorite console brand. Hands down. Sure, Sony and Microsoft have the prettier graphics and sound, but I consider myself a die-hard Nintendo fan and save for the Wii U, I've owned every console they've produced since the NES and yes, that includes the Virtual Boy.
Due to the pandemic forcing many brands to rethink and change their strategies many announcements that would have been saved for big trade events or press gatherings have had other ways to make themselves known to the public. Nintendo for example has been seemingly announcing game release dates randomly. Let's take this morning for example. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity a canon prequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. No leaks, no heads up, no teases, just a plain and simple, "OHAI2U."
The same thing happens sometimes with our own products. I'll check my work email and see an announcements for a new product we launched. However, although I love the shadow dropped announcements on Nintendo's side, I often loathe the ambushes of our own products, but to be fair - mainly so we don't have to scramble to support it, but yay nevertheless.
But on the flip side, it often feels better because it's a surprise. Oftentimes knowing that a product is going to launch way in advance can be torture because you want it now.
So my question is this week, "Would you rather be surprised with a new shadow dropped product, or would you want to know way in advance that a new Razer product is going be released?"
Let me know your thoughts. Like and comment for a chance at the weekly Silver and two more thought provoking replies will get extra Silver to boot.
