[TotW] The Dreaded Backlog Part II | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

For months now I've talked about hacking away at my backlog and although I've taken a break after Bioshock 1, I have to say, I've done a pretty good job of going through my Steam library. I still have a lot to go and hot take, I'm lowkey glad that Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed because of my backlog. Our current global situation has made it easier to focus on getting a lot of gaming in and I feel like I may be able to catch up before Cyberpunk is released because I expect that game to eat me alive.

How's everyone else doing on their backlogs? Any progress? Or are you frozen, staring at the ceiling trying to figure out what life is? That this is all one giant MMO and everything is freakin' meta - not that I was doing any of this over the weekend 😅.

Like and comment for a chance to score a nice chunk of Silver. One lucky person will get that big prize and two super cool Insiders with good answers will get a nice tip.

i've managed to get through 15 games on my backlog over the past couple of months

More games i've finished in a loooong time lol
Surprise surprise!

I actually do not have a backlog.

12 in my Steam library, 2 Epics (Detroit Become Human and GTA V), 3 courtesy of GOG and Command and Conquer the Ultimate Collection from Origin, 'cause that's all you need from that platform. Sorry, not sorry.

I've actually played through almost all of them. Some more so than others but I have at least seen what gameplay in each one feels like.

Now, because I'm a filthy completionist I want to 100% a game before I move to the next one.

That's one reason for my small collection. The other is that I'm also a minimalist. I simply don't like complicating my life by having a lot of stuff. So as you can see this applies to my game collection as well.

I do want to make substantial progress in every one of them though. Halo Infinite is the game that's gonna consume me so I want to have every bit of my gaming time dedicated to this game when it releases.
Is this game similar with resident evil?
Um... I am too scary to play horror game on my own :eek_:
I'm fully committed to Valorant for now and grinding to complete the battlepass stages. Still waiting patiently for CyberPunk 2077 though.
currently not having fun in the games im playing but im too lazy to download anything in my epicgames and steam library. this sucks!
Thanks to GoG platform i can count the games.Im just hoping more than the half I've taken them for free.Surely i could find something to keep me busy until Chost of Tsushima arrives.Worst case scenario back to Destiny 2,Warzone or even Overwatch.
Still cannot go on my backlog! The Dota 2 battle pass is keeping me busy right now. I also share my pc with my niece and nephew, so not a lot of time to play. But I enjoy watching them play games, a lot of laughs and rage. A lot of enticing games are being given away for free coz of the pandemic, which s nice, more games for the backlog YEY!!!
Oh yeah let's talk about backlog (taking a deep breath)

Total games on Steam : 313

Games completed : - 26

Games completed w/ 100% Achivements : -20

____________

= 267 ''Backlog''

Keeping me busy these days Warframe, Destiny 2, Valorant, League of Legends
Oh, I'm afraid not. Work in retail, we didn't have time off and could finally finish games. During that time I managed to play the CoD campaign. GTA V in the free version loaded but not yet done. Hope that the next Corona outbreak will affect the retail sector as well. No, just kidding 🙂

Holy Sheesh - I feel you! Yet most of the time Dota 2 remains toxic, because there are not much chill people playing this game. Losing feels terrible sometimes. It is not "okay" to do mistakes. If you do, you get flamed (badly). I came in touch with Borderlands 2 recently and absolutely loving it so far.

Borderlands series and Oddworld is almost all my backlog, haha.
Unfortunately the number of my backlogs has increased because of corona. All my exams from the previous semester has been delayed so I have to do them right now tougether with some other lectures from this semester. Now that I have twice the workload there is no much time for a lot of gaming for me. I only can play something short like a couple matches in MTG Arena. I hope everything will normalize soon.:smile_:
Indeed there has been more time than ever to focus on plyaing games, that's why the gaming industry has had much more profit these couple months.
I buy games for a few friends on steam, I don't even play games anymore but I just buy games for friends that cant afford them or don't have steam wallet funds at the moment. I usually only get some food in return so its not a 1:1 trade but I don't mind, kind of enjoy gifting close friends things that they have on their steam wishlist.
I have a huge backlog of games simply because working now I dont have enough time to sleep let alone game.
I only Play on Console No backlog!
Hello friends,

It's so hard to wait for the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077.

CD Projekt Red does a perfect job of polishing the game, every time I see a new trailer, I can't wait to play it.

Have you seen the Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire: episode 1?

Sorry if my question seems dumb but, even after reading the whole thread, I don't understand what a backlog is.

Can anyone explain what it means please ?
This year has been complicated for my backlog. With work and college, I haven't had that much time for gaming, and the time when I game it's usually playing CS:GO or Valorant with friends, so really slow progress. If I had to guess, I'd say I've beaten 2 or 3 games from my backlog.
Have had to move home during the quarantine, so the backlog took the back seat.
I have no idea what backlog is, but i saw Cyberpunk and I thought I should come yell HYPE. The more we will wait for it, the better the experience will be of the anticipation alone.

As for The Last of Us 2, for now I have to be contented to watch steams of it until it becomes a bit more approachable for me. And lets face it, I might end up having a heart attack of a jump scare lmao.
I did planned on finishing up a couple of games now, with this quarantine, but apparently i ended up starting to work again and didnt manage to. Anyway, that wont stop me from playing further but it will slow it down in terms of time.
just download outlast 2, RE7 and Sleeping dogs

gonna play it this weekend xD

A backlog of your games is simply a list of all the games you've bought but haven't played yet. Some people are really good about playing their games immediately. Myself on the other hand, I'm terrible. I'll buy a game and not play it for years.
Now..knowing what backlog is.... I've almost played everything on the 'wishlist' and the 'to do list' , but there is this one game...I swear to god it's my nemesis.

It's a multiplayer survival game on Steam called Don't Starve Together. I've had it for over 4 years now...5?

OMG 5 years?!

And it's like I pick my character play 3 minutes and i quit. I think I'm incapable of playing this game solo..and since none of my friends have it, it might as well be on my backlog forever 😃
