Razer has it's 4k touch. But a 144 or 165 variant in 2k should be the next display offered.
I don't know when 3080 Max-Q will be here, but I sure hope we get this display as soon as it does.
The best of both worlds machine ... have a Razer 15 with 2k internal that I could also go set up at a desk monitor and max out settings at high FPS over a eGPU. I see a lot of promise with Tiger Lake H and TB4.. I think we'll see almost no bottlenecking and can generally expect to output at very high frame rates for 2k over eGPU (running a full size 3080)
Anyway Razer has always seemed to stay current with what makes sense ...and for me this makes absolute sense as soon as these chips and GPU are available for their laptops. I hate the idea of building a seperate machine and managing downloads twice and I hate when people say you can do it so cheap. I'm not going to build some cheap budget gaming ATX.. it's gonna cost me about $1300 more than an eGPU. I just want it to happen as soon as possible.
