Game Location in "Link Game" is Wrong, can't update it

Apologies if this has been addressed somewhere, I couldn't find anything after a lot of searching.

When trying to link a game to a Synapse profile, I see the game I want listed. However, it's pointing at the launcher for the game, and not the game exe itself.

I have tried to manually add the game by going to "Don't see your game?" and clicking ADD, and then navigating to the game's exe, but it does not add a new entry to the games list or update the existing wrong entry.

The game in question is Genshin Impact. It's currently pointing to C:\\Program Files\\Genshin Impact\\launcher.exe. On my system, the actual game file is D:\\Program Files\\Genshin Impact\\Genshin Impact Game\\GenshinImpact.exe.

The problem is that when the launcher is launched Synapse correctly sees it and activates the profile associated with the game. However, when the game itself is launched via the launcher, the launcher closes and the game instance starts, and as a result, the profile switches back to the default one. If the game is closed, the launcher re-launches, and the game profile is re-enabled. So, while the game is running the launcher is not, leading to no profile being used.
