Razer Nari THX Surround Sound Configuration Questions

I find when you have THX Spatial Audio enabled in Synapse vs. when you don't, it literally doesn't make any difference in the sound. Should it? I feel like it should, unless THX spatial audio is just always on regardless of if you turn it on in Synapse? Or maybe does just turning it on in Synapse give you the ability to choose whether an app is in Stereo or Surround mode? Also, when you do have THX Spatial Audio enabled in Synapse, if you have an application open like Google Chrome and you're listening to a YouTube video, you can change it from stereo to surround sound. But the surround sound doesn't sound good at all, almost like the sound has been placed in a tin can with extra reverb. Most YouTube videos that test your headphones surround sound seem to sound WAY better when the application is in stereo mode, and the positional audio actually sounds better and more accurate this way as well. In my mind turning it to surround sound mode should make the positional audio more accurate, not worse.

I've also fiddled with changing the sound settings for the "Headphones (Razer Nari - Game)" to use Windows Sonic for Headphones, has anyone found this to be any better or worse? Should I even be messing with this at all?

This work like that 😛 You create profile you set it up in this case THX let's say "on" next step is app/game you open give you sound emulate like you open fortnite and set for this game THX sorround and everytime when you open this game and profile for headset will be active you will have this settings the same is with the other app/games. Stereo give you sound in 2 speakers and sorround give you 5.1 or 7.1 i dont remember and sound is spread in more places so it's more flat but give you more awernes from where sound is going.

You forget about one thing every youtuber or sound producer record sound in difrent mode the best example will be you have some guy review mouse on youtube and he record sound in stereo so you will dont have a THX becose it's not there but you buy a movie on a blueray with THX and open in with player on your pc and the sound is noticable becose it support it this is why THX have no issue in games every game provider record sound in this format :P

You can change it but i cant say you will dont have issue with synapse but for sure you lose some functionality.
I'm wondering how THX can have genuine spacial awareness, not just being a "surround effect". The audio device is still "Stereo", not virtual 7.1. How THX engine gets extra channels or some sort of "spacial data" to reconstruct sound in 3D and then convert it to stereo output? An app probably still consider THX-headset as a 2-channel audio device, it will provide only 2 channels. Certainly 2 channels is not enough to create 3D.
