Hello All, New to the razer family. I just bought 2020 model razer pro 17. I always wanted one. First impression wasn't so good. The laptop speakers were making an odd noise and couldn't be resolved so I got replacement from amazon. Second one came in last week everything was perfect at first. Everything working fine till yesterday, The fan started making a high pitch sound. https://streamable.com/s3rg21
I went thru support and they are asking me to send it in of course. Sadly I cannot because i am travelling to Europe next week. No way repair would make it in time. And they do not send nor sell the fans have to go thru servicing for just fan simple fan replacement.
My question is are the fans sold online? Are they generic? Could not find much information on it.

can anyone help?
The fan noise is loud when running games. If you aren't running a game, I'm assuming something is running up the CPU %. If you bring task manager up, is something using up a lot of CPU? Do you have balanced profile selected in Synapse? Does it do the same plugged in and unplugged? If you click your battery icon, is the slider all the way to best performance, or best battery life?

But even running benchmarks that run at 100% CPU, mine's not very loud really on balanced configuration. For general web surfing, my fan almost never runs unplugged and only a little when on active sites or videos when on mains.

I am gonna run apps that will heat the pc up its not the CPU or GPU that has any issues. The fan whining noise is the problem. I can hear it even when fans are running slowly. I need to buy replacements before I go so I can replace them if needed.

Unfortunately they don’t send or sell parts like fans, battery etc you should send it in for replacement. Fans that are sold online might fit or not on your Blade but from look (upper fans) are similar with blade 15/17!so it might be fit, however if it fix the issue I can’t also guarantee, high pitch noise on some level might happen on most gaming laptop it’s due airflow that is pushed out to the vent. I was schock when first had Blade (moving from a silent MBP) but after some tweaking like Undervolting and adjusting fans or limiting some setting, due cooler temperatures the fans are quiter and less annoying. However it’s Blade 15 and 15 form factor laptops case for pro due bigger cooling it should be quiter. Maybe you can try on your vacation adjusting the setting and if it is still annoying you can send it in/back for repair/replacement.

Thank you for the replies, I just feel there should be option to get this fixed on hand. I have done repairs like this with MSI my previous laptop. But I do understand the reasoning why they don't. I just wish there was a third party option to buy fans. The whine is disturbing. And I know there is no servicing in Turkey. At one point if I do want to get it serviced I need to send it Greece(which isn't that bad) which probably be the cheapest. They will send it to Germany and back to Greece for free under warranty. Then I need to get it from there. Or send it to Germany servicing directly. I feel the need to get the distribution rights for Turkey and start selling these beast there 😃.

Having spare fans would have been the best option. The fans die, as being only moving part.

It sounds like the fans are running on max. Check synapse to see if your fan speeds are on manual. If they are on manual, try auto to see if that helps. But based on the video, the fans sound like they should. That's a lot of power crammed into a tiny metal box. It's going to get hot.

As for spare parts, I agree. It's always nice to have options.

I was running fans to the max manually. Just to get the whine noise to the camera. But even on low fan speeds its making noise. Hopefully they wont fail anytime soon and wont have struggle with servicing.
