This is me every time Razer puts out a new product
Has anyone posted their pc mark 8 or pc mark 10 benchmarks of this laptop? I'm curious. I'm in the very low 4000's and I'm a bit surprised. This is the 9th gen advanced model with a 2080.
For gaming laptops maybe users post more 3Dmark, PC Mark 10 is for office pc benchmarks. However apparently your score is quite low for the hardware, did it run on ac adapter or battery? Try also run on Synapse costum max performance both gpu and cpu. I think you should get over 5K overall score.
Yes, this was on ac adapter. I didn’t see any difference when setting synapse to performance. I was thinking, maybe that feature is disabled. I’ll take another look in the morning. I compared to an older Alienware laptop I had, and that score was 150 pats less, but using a sixth gen cpu and 1070. I’m happy this is higher, but marginally. I bet I’m missing a checkbox or something.
Maybe it’ll be better run 3Dmark than PCMark, i think that’s more suitable for high end PC, and when I’m not wrong even Blade stealth with ulv cpu scored almost close to Blade 15 with dgpu which made me thinking that PCMark 10 isn’t suitable for benching Blade performance. 3Dmark isn’t as long as PCMark 10.
This’s my Blade 15 with rtx 2080 Razer Core setting score, but the improvement only very minimum over dgpu, which is unusual on my usage gaming, even on worst case, egpu biggest bottleneck area @1080p it should be minimum 5% performance gain.
Blade 15 2018 8750H + rtx xc2080
Blade 15 8750H 1070maxq dgpu.
I’m not familiar with this benchmarks score, but you can try run 3Dmark and show me HWinfo64 to see if your cpu and gpu works as it should be, you can check the parts temperature as well with that software.

Thanks for sharing. This did allow me to figure out just what was and what wasn't working. The first thing I did when I got this machine was swap out the SSD for a larger one, then installed windows and all the software to control the machine. Eventually I optimized all the settings to achieve non throttling results, and yes, our scores are very similar now. Whew! Now I get to enjoy the machine!
Guys, what is the battery life of the oled machines?
Yes Me. According to razers support, synapse is having issues which will hopefully be fixed soon. Let’s see ...
Same! They look awesome AF
Hello guys. I am going to buy a RB15 soon. I do not know which option i am going for. Any sugestions?
It’s going to be connected to a Core x chroma 90% of the time, but i want good frames when i do travle.
The old GTX 1060 (base) is on sale fight now in Norway. But i am thinking i should go for the 2060 2019 base model. And ofc i do want the 2070 model for the times i am going to travle.
What is the main difference between base and andvance models. And which model do you think i should go for (price difference between 2060 and 2070 is around 400-500 usd)
Depends on the workflow. Normal use or gaming?
Hey. I would say it’s going to be a good blend.
I play a good bit some days and use it for YouTube etc in bed at night.
Hey guys. I’m new to PC gaming and the Razer line. When gaming, in a stock configuration, I’m getting cpu temps hovering max in the low 80’s on the cpu and never getting to 80C on the gpu. I’d like to undervolt and/or over clock the gpu/cpu. Is there any links for doing this for a newbie like me? Thanks in advance. I love the unit and I look forward to learning more about it.
Razer Blade 15 Advanced 240hz

Check firstly with HWinfo64 sensor or HWmonitor if it’s factory undervolted. According notebookcheck HWinfo64 screenshot your model is on default already undervolted by -100mV. Take a look at IA voltage offset. (Source)
If you want to try lower for first time maybe you can try Intel XTU for cpu undervolting, there’s a lot guide out there for doing it, other alternative apps is throttlestop, a bit complicated but more options and stable. However your temperature is actually already great for thin light gaming laptop.
Mainly I am interested on normal use. On gaming I am not expecting much anyways, and that is ok.
@Joikansai do you know what is the actual warranty for EU/Germany, is it 1 or 2 years because it is not clear. I saw you mention here that it is two years based on the response that you got from razer support in Hamburg. However my confusing comes from this thread https://insider.razer.com/index.php?threads/minimum-2-year-guarantee-in-europe.17573/page-2 where they discriminate the warranties to commercial guarantee and legal guarantee (https://insider.razer.com/index.php...-guarantee-in-europe.17573/page-2#post-293268) where the first one is 1 year and the second one 2 years. To be honest though I do not understand their difference and how it applies to a razer blade purchase in EU.
Bought it last week. FPS went to crap (sub 30 for monster hunter world) unplugged. Dealing with support + reddit now but my 14 days window (refundable for manufacturing defects) is closing -
1. is it normal for RTX laptops to have FPS drop of this magnitude when unplugged, even with all settings (nvidia control panel, geforce experience, windows graphics setting) set to performance mode?
2. is it just B15 base throttling? what about the advance? Or what about other brand/models?
I played Anno1800 for around an hour without drops on battery.
It's a CPU intensive game right?
Monster hunter was quite unoptimized title even plugged in I got frame drops on several areas. Blade performance self actually is better on battery than other manufactures I got like 22% performance drop on gaming benchmarks, timespy on 2018 1070mq Blade 15, heard from Alienware gaming laptop, m15 r1, it apparently dropped over 50% performance on battery. Here’s the Battery vs plugged performance difference, I forgot once to switch on power on wall socket and run shadow of war, didn’t notice it was on battery until low battery indicator popped in.
are there any review videos based on the OLED version? I want to pull the trigger for getting one, but I would prefer to see a review first
