Wolverine Ultimate Controller stopped working after one day

I got a Wolverine Ultimate controller for Christmas. Opened it Christmas eve, plugged it in, everything was great. Rebooted my computer on Christmas day and when it started back up the controller never turned back on. No lights, nothing. Tried it on two different computers, neither recognizes anything is even plugged in. Tried the cable on another device and the cable is working still.

It just stopped working. After a single day. I got ~3 hours of play from it, no throwing, shaking, hitting, etc.

im having same issue.

I opened a Razer support ticket. The troubleshooting steps were just like "hold the Xbox button a bit longer" and some questions about whether I'd updated the computer when it stopped working or spilled water on it (nope to both), and after that they offered to replace it. I gotta say I was impressed by their response time, if I'd thought they'd respond *on* Christmas day I would've waited to file the ticket, I didn't want to make work for anyone on a holiday.

In the end I returned it to the store I bought it from instead since that was quicker. Morale of the story I wasn't impressed with the build quality but I was with the follow-up support.
The problem im having is my controller is out of warranty. it worked 2 days ago just as it has for the past few years, then boom dead as a doornail. Seen some articles saying this is a bootloader and firmware issue, but havent found squat. Thanks for sharing your experience. This is first time ive had an issue with razer that im not very happy about. Oh well, now i have a nice paperweight.
