Razer Lachesis surface cleanup

So I finally put hands on my old v1 Razer Lachesis which sat in his box and his surface is pretty sticky. I know that's a common razer mice problem but I don't want to ruin it since it's my favourite mice and they don't make any of them anymore. What's the best way to clean the surface and remove the stickiness? I heard that alcohol and acetone can damage the surface. Waiting for any help please.

    You could try a citrus-based adhesive remover, a lot of them are solvent free and pH neutral.

    First of all thanks for your response. Did you ever tried it? I mean that this mice is very important to me and I'm afraid it won't help or worse it will cause damage by cosmetics or even technically. Thanks again buddy

    I have not used a citrus spray on plastic before but it does remove sticky residue, some of the products should say in the description what materials they are safe to be used on. Also about technical damage, you shouldnt be spraying enough that it can seep in to any gaps/holes anyway, use discretion and spray on the appropriate areas or cloth carefully.

    I think "Elmer's Sticky Out Adhesive Remover" is safe on rubber but you would have to double check, it is also available on amazon i believe

    I really appreciate your help buddy. Is there anymore people that faced that stickiness? Because they're mices used by a pretty same material even after 2010. It's kinda wired that nobody knows what material used on the Razer Lachesis and it's even harder when you can't reach razer by email.
