Slick, stylish appearance of the Viper Mouse, with the side appearances of a snake but I think it looks like a bit more small than the previous version I guess ? Propably by the appearance of the photo it could be.I cant wait for its RGB version of it :smile_:

Bought this mouse, doesnt work at all with synapse 3's macro "play while assigned key is pressed". Using this mouse with a macro that combines any 2 actions like:
mouse movement + click
keyboard click + click
the full macro plays and cant be stopped until it finishes.

HUGELY disappointed since I cant find any help to fix it

Has anyone noticed that the Razer Viper looks like Ironman's helmet?
Wanna have some Razer gear soon...

Seriously doubt this would be the fix as it seems to be at a hardware level. The cold boot does not even power up the device and that is the problem.

The fastest way to replicate this is to shutdown your system. Turn off the main power and press the PC power button 2 or 3 times. Then turn back the power on and boot up. You can't even enter the bios as the device is unable to be powered up.

I do think this can be fixed only via a firmware update but question is how long? Razer has been dragging their legs for a fix as simple as this.

Disregard my last statement. Replacing the old driver did not fix the issue. Cold booting the PC as you've described makes this issue appear consistently.

Please Razer Fix this issue!!!! If I plug in my old Glorious Model O- into the same port as the Razer, it works perfectly everytime. 100% a firmware issue.
I don't any accessories like that but I can give you guys my promo code for registration

Same issue with fps drops when using 8000hz, it's unplayable with this setting. I have to go all way back to 1000hz to play decently.
Any word from Razer about this matter?

8kHz surely will be more CPU intensive.
It reminds me old times, when I've got Razer Copperhead on old Pentium 4 CPU - I had massive drops on 1000Hz.

Makes sense.
What about the device not connecting when Windows start? I need to unplug and plug the usb cable every time Windows is booted or waken.
This seems to be a common issue also, found more users in the internet with the same behavior.

I had once similar issue with mouse not working at windows start (but all lights, and sensor was ON).
I've updated motherboard drivers it fixed the issue for me.
I've had this for a couple days, I like it. No issues really, I occasionally accidentally right click. It's the small side of large. I use grip tape on the clickers, I didn't try it without it

I NEED THIS

not really... games are unplayable at 4000hz and 8000hz setting so the mouse isn't really usable to its full potential until the bugs are patched

OK, so there is an issue: as others have experienced the Viper 8kHz is not recognized on reboot and I have to re-plug it to get it to start. I'll report that through Synapse as well

If you don't mind me asking: what grip tape did you buy -- did you get it through Razer?

He there

I want to pull the trigger on the Razer Viper 8K. My question is does the Viper 8K cable fit in the Razer bungee?

Fits in the V3 bungee for sure
i would buy an 8k version of the other types of mice like the basilisk series

Got mine yesterday and have exactly the same issue of having to unplug the USB cable and plug back in whilst the computer is running. Tried all the fixes and none work. Ive noticed that the mouse isn't showing up in device manager on the initial failed start up, it's there as soon as its plugged back in.
I will try again this evening and if I can't fix it Amazon can have it back. Real shame because its great when it's working but my wife uses computer and she certainly won't want to crawl around the floor unplugging cables. This problem is shocking for a fairly expensive mouse.

Turns out there's a Razer firmware update that fixed the problem for me. It was oddly difficult to come across the solution considering how easy it was to find others with the same problem. I even opened a support ticket but then stumbled across an answer in a Reddit thread. It's for sure a wicked good mouse, I'm totally happy with it.

Will try this tonight and hopefully all will be resolved. If not its going back to Amazon. Will post outcome tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks deefsea that seems to fixed the problem! Ive tested it 5 times by the removing power cable and holding down the start button and once by starting after a full shut down and waiting 30 minutes - All Good - Looks like Jeff Bezos can stop worrying,
