Defective refurbished device or user error?

I recently purchased a refurbished item from Amazon for my s21 fe. However, upon connecting it to my phone, nothing occurred. Despite plugging a charger into the USB port, the LED did not respond. Is it possible that I overlooked something, or is the device faulty?

It's possible that there may be an issue with the refurbished item you received from Amazon. Have you tried connecting it to a different device to see if it works? If it doesn't work on any device, then it's likely that the item is faulty. I would recommend contacting the seller and explaining the issue to see if they can offer a replacement or refund.
