Razer Sila | Command Your WiFi

A wireless network so stable, you’ll never lag mid-raid. Meet our first gaming router, Razer Sila: http://rzr.to/sila

With unique patented Razer FasTrack technology, control and prioritize your network for your games and any device that requires the best bandwidth. The Razer Sila is even versatile enough to let you prioritize between client hardware including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and more.

Cut through the network noise with Multi-Channel ZeroWait dynamic frequency selections—they open special channels that guarantee high-speed, reliable WiFi whether you’re gaming or streaming. It utilizes radar-sensing hardware that grants you exclusive access into normally-restricted bandwidth frequencies. These special channels let you beat the crowd for incredibly fast and reliable WiFi, even during peak hours.

With a second Razer Sila unit, you can activate a dual algorithm Hybrid Wireless Mesh, giving you coverage that completely blankets your home in WiFi, eliminating dead spots so you’ll get a fast uninterrupted connection no matter where you are at home. Set up to three Razer Sila units for a coverage of up to 9000 ft. A dedicated backhaul uses separate channels for backhaul traffic, leaving other bands open for maximum speed without halving throughput.

Don't personally have a use for one of those, but that design is pretty nice considering its a gaming router, nothing too flashy like some of the routers other companies have.
I like RGB and flashiness to an extent, but I rather have a slick router you hardly notice then something huge.

I second your comment on having a router that's stealth and hardly noticeable.

Yes, I am sure my ISP can support 1Gbps. Like I mentioned, with the Verizon gateway router and Verizon's built in speed test in their APP on my mobile phone, I get my full speeds. The speedtest in the Sila APP isn't showing my full speeds.

Can you also tell me the RAM and processor specs are? I find it odd that it's not listed on the specs.

Inside the router, main CPU is a quad core IPQ4019 with 512MB RAM.

The speedtest App is based on your neighborhood server to test and estimate the speed from your WAN to the selected server. Selected server could be the limiting factor during the speedtest.
if you are sure that your ISP can support 1Gbps, just go ahead and modify the download and upload speed to 1000Mbps, the APP accept manual setting.
After that you may turn ON FasTrack for router QOS to take effect.
Hope this help.

Yes, as I said in my original post. "The speedtest built in the app will not accept my speeds. I get around 600 Mbps down and 700 Mbps up."

Hi,
Are you using the speedtest check in the APP, where you get 600/700Mbps?

Does anybody know the specs on the RAM and processor for this router?

Anyway, I'm using the Sila as my main router on Verizon Gigabit. Since my internet is Ethernet coming from my ONT instead of coax, this works. Only issue I'm having is the speedtest built in the app will not accept my speeds. I get around 600 Mbps down and 700 Mbps up. I've been dealing with tech support on this and it doesn't matter if I have FasTrack on or off or game mode on or off, same results. Tech support told me to just fill out problem in the feedback section in the Sila app. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or just an inaccurate way to test your speed since speedtest.net on my PC seems to be fine, or maybe an issue with the hardware with the Sila. With the Verizon gateway router, it has a similar app that also has a speed test feature which allows you to test your speed to your router or your device. With the gateway router, speed test to router I get my full speed (1000 Mbps down and 1000 Mbps up).

I hope this isn't like their Razer phone. I own the first Razer phone, while I really like but not too long after they released the Razer phone 2. Which is pretty much how the first phone should of been.

everything is on razer now,, good to know that,.. 🙂 keep it up razer 🙂
If it were a modem-router, with a few ISP certifications under it's belt (maybe in future iterations or spin-offs), then I'd consider it.

So far i like it. Game mode seems to work well although i wish they had Final Fantasy 14 listed as one of the game s that can automatically gain priority. One thing i noticed is that i messed with the settings last night and turned on both game mode and fastrack at the same time. Now my download seems to be stuck around 90mbps even though my upload is still 36 - 40mbps. I'll try restarting the router when i stop working to see if there is any difference.

We've added Final Fantasy XIV and a couple of other new games in. 😉

Could be time for a mobile Sila.

So if I use this does it mean it's going to lower my family's network connection while they try to watch Netflix and I want to game?

Not really, more like it helps to regulate the bandwidth that goes to each device according to how important you rate each one.

My Sila speeds on StarHub 1Gbps with and without FasTrack.

Safe to say you like it? Also what other gaming routers (if any) have you tried before?

That's pretty damn good. Thanks for responding with this! I am expecting to get the Sila in on Tuesday.

Thanks this is what i was looking for. Like i said it was a bummer to pick up the Nighthawk 7800 and have to disable the QoS feature because it cut my bandwidth from 600mbps to 300. I think i'll go ahead and order the router and give it a go.

The wired LAN is capable of supporting speed over 900Mbps or more without much of the problem, if your ISP is capable of supporting such speed.
Even if FasTrack is turned ON, it can easily support your 600Mbps speed and more..
