Razer Sila | Command Your WiFi

A wireless network so stable, you’ll never lag mid-raid. Meet our first gaming router, Razer Sila: http://rzr.to/sila

With unique patented Razer FasTrack technology, control and prioritize your network for your games and any device that requires the best bandwidth. The Razer Sila is even versatile enough to let you prioritize between client hardware including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and more.

Cut through the network noise with Multi-Channel ZeroWait dynamic frequency selections—they open special channels that guarantee high-speed, reliable WiFi whether you’re gaming or streaming. It utilizes radar-sensing hardware that grants you exclusive access into normally-restricted bandwidth frequencies. These special channels let you beat the crowd for incredibly fast and reliable WiFi, even during peak hours.

With a second Razer Sila unit, you can activate a dual algorithm Hybrid Wireless Mesh, giving you coverage that completely blankets your home in WiFi, eliminating dead spots so you’ll get a fast uninterrupted connection no matter where you are at home. Set up to three Razer Sila units for a coverage of up to 9000 ft. A dedicated backhaul uses separate channels for backhaul traffic, leaving other bands open for maximum speed without halving throughput.

Interesting upgrade to the Razer Portal!

Loving how the Sila's design is so heavily influenced by the Blade 15 + Phone. It's truly the next timeless Razer design.

Don't personally have a use for one of those, but that design is pretty nice considering its a gaming router, nothing too flashy like some of the routers other companies have.
I like RGB and flashiness to an extent, but I rather have a slick router you hardly notice then something huge.

Ohh yes I like this 😉
I'm instrested to see the improvements over the Portal, especially given the price jump. Given the history of rebranding stuff I hope not to open this thing up and it being go the exact same hardware.

The control you have of your network, especially monitoring, for troubleshooting and optimization, is extremely lackluster. Being bound to a single phone also sucks.

That new design tho 10/10

So the adaptive frequency tech made its way into this too.

Damn that price though. I mean its competitive but $250 is hard to swallow for a router.

Seems damn useful and nifty. Really surprised Razer didn't get into WiFi routers sooner!
may or may not have gotten a quote in AUD pending purchase >.>

Oh wow! Routers too?! 😍

Now make me a brushed metal desk with Chroma!

Now this is a good piece, masterfully done. It looks sick and i hope it works how it should be. GG!
Any chance of getting specs of CPU used and how much RAM/flash on the internals ?

Nice and simple, looks amazing.👍 Plus less space taken up by antenna's.

As much as I like "gaming" stuff, the "gaming" routers by Asus and other brands look way too crazy.

Thank God it doesnt look like an alien spaceship or smth. Should be a good product
Looks awesome
sounds really nice.
I haven't posted on the forum in some time but after seeing this product I just had to. I'm very interested to see what Razer can bring to the table. My current profession is a network engineer, at home I have an enterprise grade firewall, switch, and AP, but my friends always ask me what I recommend for their home use. Both my employer and myself always recommend Eero for one simple reason: they work. When someone sets up an Eero system they never have issues. There is no daily/weekly/monthly reboot of the router, no dropped packets, no issues. I personally have never tested Eero I just know they work from all the people I know that use them.

I may get this system and swap it with my enterprise gear to see how well it truly works as I have a gaming advocate friend who is looking for a better system and this may be it. He doesn't want the Eero as the price is out there and so is this, but he is coming to peace with the fact that to get a system that works you have to pay.

I love seeing Razer expanding to every aspect of gaming. Peripherals, systems, mobile, and now networking. Go Razer!

I found it really interesting, should definetly give it a try.
One thing - CHROMA?

According to tech specs, doesn't seem like it.
This option for prioritize your specific apps is really nice idea and ,,Dynamic Frequency Selection´´ is great benefit. Yea, I know u will get dedicated app but still i think this router is a bit overpriced.

a little bit overpriced, at least in Italy where I live. Asus and Netgear offer the same at a lower price and for sure better support and faster firmware updates...
the Design is awesome btw. is the top lighting?
Hi!!

I looked at the specs and as far as i can tell the difference apart from the design/aesthaetics seems to be the Razer Silas is AC3000 as compared to the Portal which runs AC2600 - this also seem to be the cause for the price difference - the higher number means that it can handle more bandwith.
I do not want to start any flame wars here, and i really do not hold a degree in physics, but afaik all those antennas on some wifi products are (while being real antennas) just for show and do not actually result in better reception. I bought myself a portal router in Feb - had to, my old time capsule broke down and I was unable to repair it, and the portal also does not have any kind of outside visible antennas - yet it has in my case superior reception quality. To be really accurate, i would have to borrow one of those big asus things and take it home one day and test against my portal. I might just do it one day.. ;)

If will support my internet provider i will buy it but on razer webstite dont give spec about network line ;/

Mhmm good question - do you use pppoe or something arcane like pptp or just plain dhcp?
Userlevel 7
Now we're talking at a different level.
Actually I will buy this is only because it's from RAZER.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_: (ok, square shape also look modern!

Diper"sila"kan!

Interesting but a little pricey for something without Chroma lol. It's definitely interesting but I can't say I would buy it since I have a perfectly working router at home.
Really Nice, a bit expensive compared to a magnificent RJ45 cable, but for those who have more money than I do...
