Razer Synapse 3 Equalizer not working

Hello,

I have a Blackshark V2 Pro device. Everything was fine at first. I don't know what caused the issue, but even though the firmware version and all applications are up to date, the equalizer settings do not take effect. I followed the instructions for a clean installation, deleted and reinstalled the drivers multiple times, but nothing worked. However, I noticed that when I installed the THX Spatial Audio software and started the 15-day trial version, and then selected THX as the default device in the settings, the equalizer settings in this software take effect. However, I don't want to use THX as the device and the 15-day software trial because the sound quality there is not very good.

I had the same problem with the Blackshark V2 Pro, use the link below from the Razer Website. Follow the steps, in the link they talk about the mouse, but if you go in the device settings to audio and unistall the razer device it will work for your headset. At least it did for me.

So i had this same issue where I uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything CLEAN and the EQ wouldn’t work and the THX wouldn’t make a difference.. So i snooped for a good while and found out something wasn’t running.. So my fix was 

  1. Hit CTRL-R and type in “msconfig”
  2. Go to service and check the box that says “Hide all Microsoft Services”
  3. Scroll till you find something a service called “VSSrv” and make sure it’s running.. And the Manufacture says THx Ltd. Which is the EQ in Synapse 3.  Let me know if this worked!!

Did you solve this issue? I also purchased the Razer Barracuda, and the audio equalizer in the Razer Synapse 3 application doesn't work. No matter which mode I select, it produces the same sound.

I bought Kraken v3 Hypersense yesterday and the EQ worked. The next day I plugged them in a different USB port and the EQ said F U and stopped working.

My "VSSrv” doesnt say THX. Its says VisiSonics.

I tried everything to fix that stupid EQ. I deleted all Razer software, Installed only Synapse and Chroma, plugged, unplugged, reinstalled drivers and still doesn't work.
