Hi everyone,
I have bought a new laptop, namely ASUS Zenbook S14 UX5406SA, with the new Intel 226v processor but my Razer Core X RC21-01310 with a RX 5700 XT graphic card doesn’t work. As soon as I plug the Core X, my mouse pointer freezes and it also disables my WIFI card and soundcard! The rest of components seems to be still working. I can Crtl+Alt+Del and check the processess or select with the TAB on the keyboard and cycle trhough the icons and menus with the keyboard! And I can choose to shutdown or restart the laptop.
I have tried a different thunderbolt cable and changed the power settings in the laptop but no luck, including changing the Link Power Management to off and choosing the Performance Power Plan.
I have also contacted ASUS and they told me that the fact that the Core X is providing 100W, and because the laptop is 65W, it may overvolting the thunderbolt and laptop. But I thought the Core X was upto to 100W with PD charge so in theory it should be charging at 65W.
The Core X is still working with my old laptop, a ASUS K3402ZA and my wife’s Macbook!
Have anyone experienced something similiar or have any possible solutions?
Thanks for reading.
