Using the Razer Addressable RGB Controller with a laptop

Is it possible to use the addressable rgb controller with a laptop? The ChromaSDK had external USB and power connectors. Could the aRGB controller be used in the same way? Has anyone identified any AC or USB power adapters that work?

I'm pretty sure that you can use the RGB controller with a laptop connected by a USB cable( instead of a 9pin USB from a desktop), and a extra 4pin from a DC power supply can be used, and it is important that your ARGB devices are connected by a 5v3pin.
