Hi everyone,
my Blackwidow Elite has 4 keys (F4, 4, R, F) that, when the lighting is completely disabled, remain lit in a kind of white. When I enable lighting they work fine (I tried with red, green and blue). It has not always been like this, I noticed this problem the first time about 3 months ago. There is another post asking for the same problem, but the solutions there did not work for me.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try resetting you keyboard to default settings:
If it's not working, try to create new (empty) configuration profile in Synapse, and check what happens after you'll disable backlight.
If it's the same all time - I assume, that something wrong is with the LEDs itself (do you spilled something on your keyboard?).

The keys light up and when I click them the lighting effect changes but the keys do not type.

Try above. Try different PC. If it's the same RMA keyboard.
If you have a Razer keyboard but it's not lighting up, you need to read this post which can help you solve the problem easily and quickly.
