Hi,

Where did you download it? From the first post in this thread or from the Chroma Workshop?

It should be msi in both cases.

Hey Wolf, im running Windows 7, and I can install and start GameDog fine, I can see it in synapse and enable it there as well. The steam folders are correct, everything seems like it should work, however when I start CSGO there is no change the lighting of the Blackwidow. I have tried different things to troubleshoot it such as reinstalling, restarting, and even reinstalling synapse. It seems like a really cool app and I'd love to get it working, so let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

Hi :-)
Try if one of the following might help:
https://gitlab.com/Chromatin/GameDog/#faq

Does the Keyboard light up yellow once you start GameDog (without CS:GO running) or just stay at the Synapse profile.
Does it work without Synapse running?

Please try the following:
Go to: http://developer.razerzone.com/chroma/download/
On the left side download the file "Developer Package"
(Do NOT Download the SDK Installers)
Unzip this file somewhere on your drive. In there is a sample application from Razer:
Go to samples\\RazerChromaSampleApplication\\Release and start the .exe file there.
Open the Keyboards-Tab and try the Animations there.
Do they work?

Dota support is nearly finished but I need people who could try it and don't mind running beta software. So if you'd like to, please send me a message via conversation.

Thanks for the reply!
Went through the FAQ, and I made sure that there was a "gamestate_integration_gamedog.cfg" file in csgo after starting. Also removed it from my firewall and it does light up yellow now when I start Gamedog, I don't think it was doing that before. However it still just stays yellow upon starting the game. It also stays yellow even when I close Synapse. I downloaded the sample SDK keyboard animations you linked and they all work fine.

Okay as I don't get any requests of people wanting to try GameDog for Dota I'm going to release a preview Version 1.9. It would be nice if you can test this Version and give me feedback here. It's NOT an official release however it will automatically update to the Release Version once available. If something does not work (slow animations, wrong Keys lighting up) please reinstall Synapse and the SDK (uninstall both) as latest Synapse update yesterday caused a few issues with existing setups it seems.

Here is the prerelease Version:
https://gamedog.chromatin.eu/GameDogSetup.1.9.msi

Changelog for now as far as I remember:

- Allows staying in the Background
That means GameDog does NOT turn yellow anymore. Once you start gamedog it plays a starting animation (Green light running along all Devices). After that GameDog returns to your default Synapse profile! This behaviour can be changed in Settings but is activated by default. Make sure to MINIMIZE the Window (it moves to the tray) and do NOT close the Window as that closes GameDog completly.

- Start with Windows
Makes the above actually useful. It makes GameDog start with Windows in the Background. You can now also start GameDog with the Parameter "/StartMinimized" which will Minimize gamedog right to the tray. It WON'T play any starting animation in that mode and won't initialize Chroma until you actually start a Game!

- Import and Export of Assignments to share with Friends!
With the Export and Import Buttons in the Assignments view you can get a JSON (Text) representation of your Assignments you can save as Textfile if you want to switch between profiles. Just click on Export and then click on "ok" to make GameDog copy everything into your clipboard. Now you can store this in your own Textfile for later use and just copy and paste it into the Box that appears when you click on "Import".

But that not enough!
You can go to http://pastebin.com and just copy and paste your profile there!
Better set "Paste Exposure" to "Unlisted" so only you know the link and then click on "Create new Paste"! Now just copy the URL and send it to a Friend! Now tell your friends to click on "Import" and he just needs to enter or paste the URL into that Field!
That's easy and simple.
Here is a CS:GO Profile with purple background as an example:
http://pastebin.com/yE6QG3sF
Or want to have puffnpluky76's GameDog Profile known from his Youtube video?
No Problem!
http://pastebin.com/LWGR0Emq
Just enter the URL and press "ok". Your Keyboard will light up for a short time showing the new profile (only the static keys will light up right now!).

Would be nice to see Custom Profiles for GameDog!

They don't need to be hosted on pastebin.
You can even host them yourself as a textfile!

- Single-time Key Flash for Game Values
Allows you to let a Key flash for a moment if a Value changes (for example your HP drops or your Ammo drops)

- Complete Dota Support
Support for Ability Cooldowns, Item Cooldowns, Buyback (only if the money is enough...the cooldown isn't checked, sorry), Status Effects, Day- and Nightclock...if there is anything you want, please let me know.

- New Devices added
Keypads (tested with Orbweaver) and Headsets (Razer Kraken) are now supported!
Keys for the Keypad are set similar to the Keyboard Keys and the Headset is a on/off switch as it can only show one state. The Headset is not very fast as it fades from one color to the other so some things might not work as expected!

- CS:GO Changes
Bombtimer moved to 40 Seconds. Added grenades as Game Value.

- Better Game Lookup (Thanks njbmartin!)
Games are now found even outside of the Steam Folder within a Steam Library.

Many Many Many more...I can't remember everything.
Will update this Thread with what I remember.

If you encounter any issues please feel free to open an Issue here!
https://gitlab.com/Chromatin/GameDog/issues

Thank you!

Does that mean the menu is not visible?
Try allowing GameDog in your firewall and also try running as administrator.

Go to: C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\AppData\\Roaming\\GameDog\\logs
There is a file GameDog.txt that should contain the error. Please copy and paste the content to a new pastebin.com and send me the URL via Conversations. I'll take a look :-)

Usually GameDog isn't possible to create the needed Server (cause of a firewall or AV for example). Then the Menu won't load.

I said in a pastebin via conversations cause it's very long and now I'm not sure if everything is included in your post. However it tells me that you haven't enabled the SDK via Synapse yet. This should actually cause a popup to open in GameDog saying that you please enable Chroma Apps in Synapse.

Take a look at the first point:

Try this Version that does have much more Dota 2 support.
/gamedog-v1-2-chroma-tool-for-cs-go.9221/page-12#post-194636

Also it would be awesome to get some feedback!

To fix the Cooldowns not showing on Q and W go to the Games Tab, check that Dota 2 is selected then click on "Import" and enter this URL:
"http://pastebin.com/HPyT1VK8" (without the quotes, don't click it, just enter it in gamedog)
This will import correct assignments. It will be fixed in the release version :)

(Or just drag and drop the "Background Color: Team" layer to the top in the assignments view.)

I want my own chroma config, if I don't play cs go. If I play csgo, I want automatically your setup (so if I close csgo, the keyboard should go back to my config). How is this possible?

How is this possible?

Try the version I posted before your post. It disables chroma if not in use and enable it if used. You can also make it start with windows in the settings.
